  1. i have had my unit for 2 months never go working I try on 2 different computers on will not even read the config file the other defaults to com port 1 and is nothing else plugged in to computer. Is a peace of junk and no help. I buy cause i wanted something to work aprs that said was easy to set up and worked wow what a lie.

    1. I hate to hear that. I wonder if others are having similar problems.

    2. Yes it looks like every one has a problem programing the AP510 , i still can not and yahoo groups has been no help and ferm ware up date make no sense , any one figured out how to program them ?

  2. Works great, need to use tools provided. Check out the Yahoo group AP510. The port that looks like a USB connector is actually a serial port and requires the serial-USB cable that came with the 510 as well as a USB driver.

  3. Use the sowtware found here:
    Latest from desember 2014.
You have to use the provided USB cable since it has a built in rs232 converter in the plug. You can charge with any micro usb cable.

  4. where can I find a manual for this thing

  5. All the links that have the Sainsonic AP510 software have trojan's! Does anyone know how to get a clean version?
