Wouxun KG-D901 (DMR): BuyTwoWayRadios.com Unboxing

Hams have a good option in the TYT MD-380, but I'm excited to see the comparisons with the Wouxun KG-D901. If you are already in the Wouxun ecosystem, this may be an easy choice for you since the KG-D901 shares accessories with radios like the KG-UV9D.

  1. If "16 Memory Channels and 2 Zones" isn't a misprint and actually represents how the radio works, they've seriously missed the boat on this one. Their competition has hundreds or thousands of channels. Oops.

    1. I've poked around and I've not seen any documents that say different.

    2. Totally agree. The number of channel 'possibilities' isn't as critical as how many channel Memories can you store.
TAC channels alone take up 11 (TAC1, 310-319)
      That leaves 21 memories.
I may just stick with my MD-380 for now.

  2. I would like to contact someone that has updated information about DFU mode and loading .bin into the Wouxun KG-D901 (DMR) radio.
