Got my copper j-pole out yesterday and hit it and talked with full quieting from my picnic table. only issue is the charger adapter puts out 8.4v when the charging cradle takes 10v so it wasn't charging i just found an adapter that puts 10v and now its chargingUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13136637177773459867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-776602294831690519.post-37343283825229885902012-03-06T20:30:27.262-05:002012-03-06T20:30:27.262-05:00Is this the latest version of the kv-uvgd and if ...Is this the latest version of the kv-uvgd and if so, which would you choose? If your going to use these radios out on the trail or in a somewhat rough environment i would suggest the Wouxun kg-uvd1p.Mike Xenohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08380809395334135590noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-776602294831690519.post-47192817779974989572012-03-06T08:39:08.509-05:002012-03-06T08:39:08.509-05:00Thanks, Mike. I have picked up even (3) Cree XML driven lights from the Chinese at a similar pricepoint that sure weren't Surefires...but then again Surefire doesn't make these lights, they've never failed and I really don't care if they ever do from what I've got out of them to date.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-776602294831690519.post-47757808128546746392012-03-05T22:23:50.345-05:002012-03-05T22:23:50.345-05:00Im not a newb and i can tell you from personally u...Im not a newb and i can tell you from personally using boafeng and wouxuns and puxing that your getting a lot of bang for your buck with these Chinese HT'sMike Xenohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08380809395334135590noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-776602294831690519.post-6519174402110070132012-03-05T14:25:10.780-05:002012-03-05T14:25:10.780-05:00Great value indeed. It's amazing to me that these are evidently contracted (if it's TYT then their site claims no more than 100 units required) then shipped here for $56 OTD. Am I too much of a newb concerning the features included in these things or are we actually receiving pretty close to what is being offered elsewhere at not only a fraction of the cost but with the latest technology included as well? (or even a year or so behind).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-776602294831690519.post-53389026168702432062012-03-05T13:11:14.764-05:002012-03-05T13:11:14.764-05:00Glad to help. Tried to get a delivery date when I asked for the receipt but no luck. Thanks for the work that you have done here in bringing us the latest on this as I can find no other news beyond a presently dead conversation on the AR.15 forum. This will be my first inexpensive non-brand name radio and honestly I'm a little excited as to what you receive for the money and if it's a decent enough backup for the Elecraft KX3 that I have on order. Don't know what I'd do without boards like this to teach me about these radios (complete newb) so again I am very grateful for your efforts.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-776602294831690519.post-71342919776387620282012-03-05T09:43:40.816-05:002012-03-05T09:43:40.816-05:00I got a shipping notice from the 409shop a few day...I got a shipping notice from the 409shop a few days after the paypal confirmation.Brick O'Lorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01169151187304356607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-776602294831690519.post-72239108094647386492012-03-04T09:01:43.047-05:002012-03-04T09:01:43.047-05:00Ordered mine last week but received no confirmatio...Ordered mine last week but received no confirmation besides what PayPal sends...did anyone here receive something from the 409shop when they placed their order?
