Wouxun KG-UV950P: Quad Band Mobile

I got an e-mail from Wouxun this morning.

"Latest mobile radio model:KG-UV950P with QUAD bands:

They also mention a new HT.

  1. Hmmm... If it'll TX SSB on 10m & 6m, then I'd probably go for it. IF they learned from feedback from the 920.

  2. I'm with you on that one, it needs SSB! I think the price will be around $430-450, it needs to compete with Yaesu's FT-8900R at $449 with a $50 off rebate.

  5. I'kk go for it right now! For me, it's a simple way of keeping track of my repeaters on 10, 6, 2, and .7 meter bands! I wished it also had 1.25 meter then I can use one radio to monotor all five repeaters!

  6. I got one, works well enough, the "Dual" receive on it is a bit crap, if you transmit on 2m and have second VFO on 70cm you will get a lot of feedback, the 920 was better in that it shut off the second receive when you keyed the microphone....

  7. i own this radio as a christmas present, so far the only issue im finding is that i programed the radio via software and after uploading it to the radio when i go to scan my memories it only scans 4 even though the radio shows ten in memory
