Thanks for the link Brick, I ordered a VV-808 about a wk ago (VHF version) I got them to iron a few things out on their sales Website via Ali Express. ie A Five Dollar USB lead, was only coming up with Fedex or UPS rates @ around $80, now you can have it delivered via China post for a couple of Dollars.

Does it have a 9600 baud packet connector? Still looking for a nice cheap rig for a D-Star hotspot. But all the cheap Chinese rigs don't have anything like that. Probably because the filtering is done in the RDA1846, though it should be possible to turn that off in software.
