Very interesting... I'm not quite sure what to make of it, but the US does not appear to be making a reasonable return on its investment in healthcare.

    It´s very surprising that my country (Chile, CHL) has about the same average lifespan for roughly one fifth of the per capita expenditure. As luck will have, I have an US Fullbright fellow arriving soon to my University to draft a comparative study of US and Chilean medical systems.
