An interesting discussion about memory features that someone would like to see in future radios.
Probably the biggest hurdle in doing this is cost - particularly hard to demand some of these features when chasing the rock bottom cost on the Chinese radios. I suspect as Moore's law continues, we'll see these options and plenty more.
I agree.
ReplyDeleteWe really need banks. What is the point of 1000 memories, when you have to scroll through all of them.
Commercial radios have had zones for 30 years. I have about 380 channels on my Motorola XTS5000, and I can find any one of them in under 10 seconds.
I really like the GPS idea. With all the new DMR radios with built in GPS, it should be easy. How great would it be ? "Give me 16 closest repeaters"
