We wondered about a tri-bander from TYT with the TH-UVF9. And, as is often the case, I don't see the TH-UV8000SE on the TYT site (but they do have the TH-UV8000D.

    1. Nope - horrible sensitivity on 220 - appears to have been a code to "allow" 220 but not actually perform on 220; the UV-5X3 is way better on 220 - returned my SE within 1 week

  2. How long ago did you buy this SE....the ebay seller tells me there has been an upgrade to SE since December 2015....hen did you have yours

  3. Seller tells me the audio distortion has also been fixed ...as it was a problem with earlier UV-8000D models.

  5. UV8000D v.3 and older had audio issue. The latest v.4 have it fixed.
