  1. Brick,

Cyanogenmod 7.1 is out for the Nook Color. Did the SD card which you purchased include at least one free OS upgrade? 7.1 is faster and more responsive. You can also safely overclock your Nook Color from 800Mhz to 1.1GHz. Very easy to upgrade if you can see "ROM Manager" in list of applications on your Nook.

  2. Thanks for the heads up. Keep posting comments or, if you prefer, you can e-mail me at brickolore@gmaiil.com.

Looks like it will be a few days for the N2A upgrade to be available.

I'll have to look into the overclocking with N2A version. Maybe I just need to root it and be done with it.

  3. If the N2A version is just CM 7.1, then to overclock you just need to go to settings --> Cyanogenmod settings --> Performance --> CPU settings, and you will see it there. Just choose 1.1 GHz (or 1.2, I haven't gone that far), and make sure you check the option that keeps this setting alive after a reboot.

  4. N2A is 7.1 RC1. It let me overclock to 925 MHz. It just had radio buttons to select a speed.
