What is
ITIL? My take... a long, long list of very similar vocabulary terms with a lot of overlap. I'm not saying that it isn't useful. I do think a common vocabulary can be very helpful, but there is a reason everyone I talk to says that they only do ITIL-Lite.
As an end-user, I find ITIL stands for an endless hassle with missing predefined ticket types for common problems, everything having to take days, and nobody to hold accountable for solving IT problems. "Sorry your ticket is with team XYZ in India and we can't contact them."
ReplyDeleteI greatly preferred the time before our IT department implemented it, when I could just walk over to their desks and get something done on the spot by someone who knew what I was talking about :)
