Radio-Mart.net reports the TH-9000 is being replaced by the TH-9000D. It will come in three flavors (2M, 220, and 440) and cost around $150.

That would explain why I got one new in the box for 114 to my door, the vendor was liquidating there stock.

DeleteBut this radio looks like a AnyTone 588 (I own a 588U version and this radio works fine).
The specs for the 220 MHz model show transmit only in 245 MHz range. Maybe that's a typo. Hopefully, this new model still has the D-sub connectors on the back.
