RSS Feeds
I've still not settled on a Google Reader replacement, but I just thought to check my subscriber numbers. There are about 240 of you who follow the blog via RSS. Eighty of which use Google Reader. I see several other readers in the list - but "unknown" is second to Google Reader.
Let's see what happens after July 1.

Logitech Harmony Smart Control
In addition to the app to control my HVAC , I need one of these Logitech Harmony Smart Control remote systems to control my TV from my phone. Here is the link to the product page on the Logitech site.

Yaesu FT-252/257 Batteries
N5FDL is not a fan of the battery design on the Yaesu FT-252/257.
I wonder why Yaesu didn't stick with a more typical design.

Puxing PX-UV973
John, KD8DVR, is taking a look at the Puxing PX-UV973. He's excited as it will do cross-band repeat. The specs are here and his first thoughts are here.

Rotary Encoder
Thanks to Ken who pointed out that I can get a replacement rotary encoder. I suspect Eileen Lin of Leixen, who has been trying to help me, had to post it, so I could order it.
So that's what one looks like when it isn't in several pieces. :)

Import Communications Deal of the Day
Ed, ImportCommunications.com, is doing some housekeeping and it might mean a good deal for you:
"Deal of the Day items are one-of-a-kind or limited quantity or specially priced items.
All items are new unless otherwise noted and all items are guaranteed free from undescribed defects
at the time of purchase. Any warranty issues must be handled thru the manufacturer if our inventory is depleted.
All Deal of the Day sales are final."
His current deal of the day is a TYT TH-UV3R plus an extra battery for $44.95 plus $7.00 shipping.
I'm tempted.
Head on over and check this and future deals out.
(Sorry for the raw link and lack of formatting. I mentioned that I might try using the Blogger app from my iPad Mini - well I am and this is what you get. I may clean this up on a PC tomorrow. )
