Ninja Training

I've been kicking around the idea of going for my Extra class license or maybe getting a technical cert related to work, but after seeing this ad (via Misfires And Light Strikes) I have committed to some Ninja training.

I hope it is even better than Diemon Dave's Ninja School.

It doesn't mention it, but practicing with the Ninja Glock would be a great bonus.

And I think Sun Tzu would agree that knowing the way of the Ninja could come in handy.

Mad Magazine Fold-ins

I'm dating myself by confessing to remembering the Mad Magazine fold-ins. Although, in my defense, many of the magazines were my dad's.

Amazon and Zombies

I don't really think of Amazon as has having a sense of humor, but in the Amazon Web Services terms:
"57.10 Acceptable Use; Safety-Critical Systems. Your use of the Lumberyard Materials must comply with the AWS Acceptable Use Policy. The Lumberyard Materials are not intended for use with life-critical or safety-critical systems, such as use in operation of medical equipment, automated transportation systems, autonomous vehicles, aircraft or air traffic control, nuclear facilities, manned spacecraft, or military use in connection with live combat. However, this restriction will not apply in the event of the occurrence (certified by the United States Centers for Disease Control or successor body) of a widespread viral infection transmitted via bites or contact with bodily fluids that causes human corpses to reanimate and seek to consume living human flesh, blood, brain or nerve tissue and is likely to result in the fall of organized civilization."

At Least 10 Times

Now I know where The Big Bang Theory got its idea for flipping the switch at least ten times... from Apple.

Part of the relevant dialogue via the-big-bang-theory.com:

Howard: Step one, rapidly flip the calibration switch from the fully up to the fully down positions for at least ten times.
Sheldon: It actually says "at least"?
Howard: Yeah.
Sheldon: Why would they say "at least"? Is it 10 toggles? Is it 100 toggles? Is it 1,000 toggles? 10,000 toggles? 100,000 toggles?
Howard: Sheldon!
Sheldon: You see where I'm going with this.

My wife made me get a bike generator to power my rig. I showed her... I only run QRP now!

Secret Marathon

If you don't tell anyone, it's just a long run.

And I forgot to mention I did Ragnar this last weekend. Two hundred-ish miles as a team over about a 30 hour period. No sleep. Spending lots of time in a van. And my first leg was up a mountain. Good times.
