Amazon and Zombies
I don't really think of Amazon as has having a sense of humor, but in the Amazon Web Services terms:

Marketing
I should start selling Chinese radios... we've seen multiple companies add their name/logo and they are in business. But here is how I would differentiate my version... I would just add a zombie killer logo and I could sell millions!

Free Zombie Book
Mad Ogre is giving away a free e-version of his Zombie thriller Uprising USA.
I have not read the whole thing, but I am about 10% in and I can tell you it is a radical departure from your common zombie book where the survivors panic and try to make it easy to be bitten.
Here is the condensed versions of what I read so far - minus the actual zombie shooting:
"Ho, hum, the zombie apocalypse is here. Grab the guns and let's head over to the gun shop to pick up more ammo. We should probably round up the rest of our family, too. We can grab a sandwich and a Mountain Dew while we are out."
It makes for a fun read when people aren't just running around advertising themselves as zombie bait. Maybe these characters are a little too calm and collected, but it has been a cool read so far.

Get the bacon. I'll cover you.
Yeah, it is a commercial for Spiceworks. But, I give them credit for:
- a good, free (ad supported) help desk
- decent production quality on the video
- zombies
- guns (NERF)
- I.T. guys
- bacon

Where the wild Zombies are...
Neat map of where we can expect the zombie apocalypse to concentrate in the beginning.

Discreet Carry
House was awesome tonight - rocking a combo ax and shotgun cane to take down some zombies. The ax blade was retractable and must have been spring-loaded (very Buffy-esque). I think the cane acted as the barrel as House bolted on a grip and magazine tube/pump. Talk about discreet carry, I've been watching House for a long time and I never noticed he was packing heat. Unfortunately, it did not appear to have the bitchin flames.
And then later, he and Cuddy were re-inacting the classic scene from Butch and Sundance.
A very entertaining episode.

K-Town Style Prep
Remain calm! All is well!
If something happens, at least some Knoxvillians will be prepared.
The Lucky Gunner blog picked up on that article and pointed out a link to free Ready Kit/Bug Out Bags from Knoxville's Local Emergency Planning Committee.
