Maryville City

Since Uncle and others had posted about it, I thought I would skip posting the Maryville City rap by Hollywoood and Dirty D. However, since it has stuck in my head, I hope this will help get it out.

Maryville City. Country Boys. Blount County Boys.

Battle At F-Stop Ridge

Great. Now we will have a ban on "automatic" assault cameras with high capacity SD cards. Think of the children. I can't even begin to calculate the number of children that have cameras waved in their face each day. Cameras should only be allowed to take 10 pictures and the film should have to be advanced manually! I say we start by locking up threats like Oleg Volk and Les Jones

Some Mysteries Science Can't Solve

I don't know why, but I think I am about 100 times cooler (Fonzie, not temperature) when I'm mowing the lawn, wearing sunglasses, and listening to the Gourds on my iPod.

Yes, I posted this video before, but I like it so much you may see it again.

Walther PPS

Hickok45 reviews the Walther PPS. And another review of the PPS. I had already been thinking about one of these even before I tried out Linoge's. I was surprised by how similar the dimensions are between it and the Glock 26. The width being the obvious and largest difference. I'd really like to compare the Kel-Tec PF-9 and the Walther PPS in person. I found this post that has some good pictures of the two guns.

Do You See What I See

With these Hunter's Specialties i-KAM XTREME video glasses, you will be able to see what I saw. Not a bad deal for only $90 at The Gun Source. I do wish they gave some detail about the lens and their protective ability.

Tech for Encounters with Police Officers

Man uses Google Tracks GPS data to avoid a speeding ticket. (Via Slashdot.org)

Open Watch - Android app to record and annonymously upload videos.

It is nice to have the ability to upload anonymously, but it is a shame that we need the option because the police or other officials think that they should be the only ones to record these interactions. At least we are getting that fixed in some places - Okay to record TSA.

Amazon Prime adds On-Demand Streaming at No Extra Cost

If you already use Amazon Prime, this is a great deal. I am cheap, so I usually just order my stuff on the slow boat that is free. And, with my toddler running around, I don't watch as much TV as I once did. Amazon on Demand is available on your PC, Roku, TiVo, and others - but not the Wii.

Condredge Holloway Story

I watched the Condredge Holloway Story last night.

I'm not sure this is the same highlight, but they showed one video where he was touched by all eleven players on the opposing team and still could not be stopped. Ridiculous.

Holloway gives Bear Bryant a lot of credit for being honest about the fact that Alabama was not ready for a black quarterback. The editing almost sound like being up front about that fact was a bigger deal than having a university that could accept him as the leader of their team.

Definitely worth the hour I spent to watch. Check your local listings for future showings.

Tonight I'm Frakking You

I really wanted to like this video. It wasn't as funny as I hoped, but I'm posting it for a couple of reasons.

1. Alessandra Torressani (Zoe from Caprica) in the Princess Leia outfit is pretty hot.
2. I had not seen the Interactive Transcript feature on YouTube before today. It scrolls through the lyrics in sync with the video. You'll have to view the video on YouTube to see this feature.

Pomplamoose

TNJeff pointed me to this NPR article about a group making a living on the internet. Maybe some day I can turn my 1's of 1's of readers into a career. In the mean time, I'll enjoy their success and hope you can as well. Without further ado... Pomplamoose covers "Single Ladies."
