Brick O'Lore YouTube Channel

Doh - there go my plans for buying a private island.
"Under the new eligibility requirements announced today, your YouTube channel, Brick O'Lore, is no longer eligible for monetization because it doesn’t meet the new threshold of 4,000 hours of watchtime within the past 12 months and 1,000 subscribers."

So I've been doing a little consulting to keep me a float, I'd like to grow the business. Maybe a movie would help.

It is amazing what you can find on the internet - the usual knife makers make an appearance along with Youtube favs, CountyComm, etc.

Revolver Etiquette

As a newbie, I don't really appreciate their other "Gun Gripe" videos. When I go into the gun store, I know I am ignorant about lots of things (and being self/internet educated my teachers aren't always the best) when it comes to guns, but I hate being treated like an idiot. And I am sure they get lots of jerks and/or idiots darkening their doors.

However, I really liked this video. I bet I've fired revolvers less than 25 times, so this video did help me learn something.

Get the bacon. I'll cover you.

Yeah, it is a commercial for Spiceworks. But, I give them credit for:
  • a good, free (ad supported) help desk
  • decent production quality on the video
  • zombies
  • guns (NERF)
  • I.T. guys
  • bacon

Navigating The Nutnfancy Project

One complaint I have about the Nutnfancy Project is the huge number of videos he has. It is almost too much of a good thing - which could probably be said about the length of some of his videos, too. (Up next: 45 Minutes of Part 7 of Tactical Socks for Urban Wear during Warm Seasons in a ROL Scenario!) He makes an attempt to address the massive catalog in this video, but I really think a simple web page with an index would get him even more views. Clearly, he is doing something right since he has over 75M upload views, but there is always room for improvement.

Game of Thrones for Dummies

Spoilers a plenty if you've not read the book and/or seen the series. Mildly entertaining and mostly correct - worth the watch if you are struggling to keep all the players straight.

Don't Trust the Government

I knew we shouldn't be trusting the government. Recently, the White House twitter account directed a citizen to this link:

Revolution now!
