Another intereting TED Talk...
Niall Ferguson - The Six Killer Apps of Prosperity:
1. Competition
2. The Scientific Revolution
3. Property rights
4. Modern medicine
5. The consumer society
6. The work ethic
Definitely worth 15-20 minutes of your time to listen to his discussion of why some regions have been more prosperous over time and why they may be losing that advantage now. He suggests that "we" aren't paying attention. I submit that if would read half the blogs I follow, he would know that many of us are acutely aware of the decline.

Navigating The Nutnfancy Project
One complaint I have about the Nutnfancy Project is the huge number of videos he has. It is almost too much of a good thing - which could probably be said about the length of some of his videos, too. (Up next: 45 Minutes of Part 7 of Tactical Socks for Urban Wear during Warm Seasons in a ROL Scenario!) He makes an attempt to address the massive catalog in this video, but I really think a simple web page with an index would get him even more views. Clearly, he is doing something right since he has over 75M upload views, but there is always room for improvement.

Game of Thrones for Dummies
Spoilers a plenty if you've not read the book and/or seen the series. Mildly entertaining and mostly correct - worth the watch if you are struggling to keep all the players straight.

Don't Trust the Government
I knew we shouldn't be trusting the government. Recently, the White House twitter account directed a citizen to this link: http://tinyurl.com/y8ufsnp.

YouTube Education
Every now and then I found out that a friend has missed a viral video or two. In case you happened to miss out as well, I present the following as a public service.

Man Replaces Matrix Sound Effects with his Voice
Another video tonight, in case some of you aren't Rebecca Black fans.
I really didn't get it when I read ENDO's title of "The Matrix Acapella Gun Sounds Lobby Scene," but this guy has replaced all the sounds from the video clip with his own vocals - think Cadet Larvell Jones from "Police Academy."

Rebecca Black Redux
I can almost hear TNJeff squeal with excitement. I'm afraid he will be disappointed. It is no "Friday."

My training kicked in... I called mommy.
This is a serious video, but the 12 year old in me couldn't resist posting about it when I read the comment by Gunfan50BMG:
"My training kicked in... I called mommy."The comment will make more sense once you hear him tell what happened after the negligent discharge. Scary stuff. As others point out, it does help the argument for learning one system and sticking with it.
