Molon Labe Sign on Gameday
We're winning? Actually, I have no idea why someone would be holding up a sign at College Gameday that reads "Molon Labe" and has a picture of Bert (as in "and Ernie"). My Google-fu was weak on trying to figure this out.

All About the Data
SammyWalrusIV Funny how 2009 and 2010 competition between AT&T and Verizon was all about voice (coverage maps anyone?) but now it's all about data.Thu, Oct 20 09:16:24 from Twitter for iPhone

Dale Ellis #14
I grew up watching UT sports. One of my favorite players of all time was Dale Ellis. He wore #14 and that became my "favorite number" as a youngster. I worn #14 every chance I got when playing sports. Dale was at the UT Men's Basketball practice tonight and Wes Rucker sent out these two gems:
wesrucker247 While watching Dale Ellis shoot, Cuonzo asked who was best shooter in the gym: "Am I technically in the gym right now?"Thu, Oct 20 20:33:16 from TweetDeck

wesrucker247 Dale Ellis watched Vols practice for a couple hours. Got up afterward, ice cold, picked up ball, took deep 3. Swish.Thu, Oct 20 20:36:21 from TweetDeck

Dave Ramsey on #OWS
I think Dave gives good advice:
"So to summarize, I’m not very impressed at the moment. I’m not impressed by your temper fit. I’m not impressed at your lack of goals and focus. I’m not impressed by the fact that the only thing I see about your movement is ignorance, immaturity and envy. Grow up—and get a job."The whole article is here.

Rock the Monster Hunters Vote
Larry is having a patch contest for inclusion in his next Monster Hunters International book. See all the entries here.
Might I suggest the patch for the East Tennessee chapter of MHI? How about I demand you vote for ETMHI? (Just testing boundaries.)
I saw the patch and knew it had to be someone from around these parts. Turns out, I was right... Linoge of the Walls of the City. So go vote... here!

"Safety officials at the University of Tennessee said police can't always get to you in time, so they are asking students to learn how to protect themselves.I'd like to see the content of the course. I'd be surprised if any of the tips included using hollow points or putting in extra practice at a range.
Officials are asking student and staff to take part in an online training program that includes tips for staying safe around campus. The idea is to help people know better how to protect themselves in the minutes immediately following a crisis situation."
